Dear Valued Customer:
Barton Supply respects the relationships we have with our customers and understands the importance of notifying you of any process changes that may impact your business. We strive to offer all customers convenient payment options to provide flexibility. Given the escalating expenses associated with credit card transactions, Barton Supply has a revised payment acceptance policy which will now include a surcharge on all credit card payments against AR accounts. Effective October 1st, 2022, credit card payments against open accounts will incur a 2.5% surcharge on the paid amount.
This surcharge reflects our cost of acceptance for Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
As a reminder, payments made by ACH, check, cash, or debit card will not incur a surcharge. ACH payments offer several advantages including speed & ease, extra security, and remote benefits.
